Sunday Streets is back in Houston with three dates this spring starting with next weekend. If you haven’t heard, Sunday Streets Houston is an initiative to promote and improve the health of Houstonians by getting them outside and active. The program opens a stretch of street normally reserved for cars and other vehicles to allow cycling, walking, dancing, socializing, skipping, whatever your preference. It provides a family-friendly opportunity to be physically active while playing in the middle of the street. Running with scissor is next. Below are the Spring dates. Besides having access to the street, there will also be booths set up, food trucks and more.
March 29 — Westheimer between Taft and Woodhead (Montrose)
April 26 — 19th Street between Heights and Shepherd (Heights)
May 17 — Navigation between Jensen and Lockwood (East End)
