Join Houston Audubon for one of our many monthly urban bird surveys and observe Houston’s permanent avian residents. The data you help collect will be assembled into a geographic database, converted into “intelligence” and disseminated back to you in the form of distribution maps on our website. This is an exciting opportunity, for both novice and master birders, to immerse themselves in bringing together habitat, birds and people.
Beginning birdwatchers will be teamed up with more experienced birders, so don’t be afraid to participate due to lack of experience!
This program is FREE and does not require preregistration. David Hanson is the leader of this survey group, please look on the website for further time and meeting details: https://www.houstonaudubon.org/default.aspx/MenuItemID/1087/MenuGroup/Birding.htm.
